This experiment started with a question; can email be a conduit for catharsis? If you could type out an email, press send, and see it being consumed in an actual dumpster fire, would it help soothe a painful year?

Tens of thousands submissions and hundreds of thousands viewers later, we had our answer. YES. Submissions ranged from personal to political, sarcastic to sugary sweet, poignant, petulant, and everything in between. People watched for hours and hours together as missives dropped into the flames, sharing in something together in a year where "together" has been hard to come by.
